ARCHITECTURE TRIP

Where Asia meets Europe

Here's some photo highlights from our tour that starts with a short road trip in Cappadocia where we explore a world of archaeological wonders, join us as we explore an underground city, the valleys of volcanic mountains and ancient rock cut churches. Then, we head to explore the contemporary urban fabric of Istanbul along with visiting some brilliant projects by Mimar Sinan.

Tour highlights include: 

  • Visit the awe-inspiring Hagia Sophia 

  • Experience the ambiance of the Spice & Silk route when you visit the Grand Bazaars.

  • Explore the wondrous treasures by master builder/architect Mimar Sinan

  • Cross over between Europe and Asia in a matter of minutes when you cross the Bosphorus.  

  • Stay in a rock cut cave Hotel, in the unique landscape formed by volcanic ash in Cappadocia. 

  • Enjoy a Hot Air Balloon Ride at sunrise (*not included in tour price but can be arranged on request) 

  • Visit the white terraces of Pamukkale

  • Half-day tour of Konya 

  • Explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site designated Ephesus

  • A Specialist Architecture Guide from #ThreeFlaneurs who is well-versed with Turkey & its Architecture will accompany the group.

Day 1 | ARRIVAL: CAPPADOCIA

Arrive in Kayseri Erkilet International Airport (ASR) ~ (arrive in the evening)

 
Day 2 | CAPPADOCIA

 

Early morning Hot Air Balloon Ride (optional)

Full day North Cappadocia tour - explore cave cities & fairy chimney landscape by coach (including local lunch)
 

Day 3 | ISTANBUL 
Visit to Golden Horn (including tours of Hagia Sophia + Topkapi Palace). Evening Bosphorus local dinner cruise

Day 4 | ISTANBUL
Walking tour of the Bazaars of Istanbul and visit to the iconic Süleymaniye Camii designed by Mimar Sinan

Day 5 | ISTANBUL
Day exploring multiple contemporary projects and getting a feel of contemporary Istanbul (using public transport) - including projects like: Salt Galata, Santralistanbul, Kanyon Mall & Zorlu Centre

Day 6 | ISTANBUL: DEPARTURE
Afternoon transfer to Istanbul Airport (IST) to board the flight back home : End of Tour
